The Western population has made some progress in emotional healing. Although, many of us have a long way to go before we can consider ourselves healthy.
Partly this is because of a fatal flaw in much of the self-help literature and workshops, which have become so common. Where we're missing the boat is our
inability to deal effectively with what is happening on our subconscious
levels.
Because we fail to look below the surface. We don't acknowledge our limiting beliefs and attitudes caused by traumatic events, most often in early childhood.
When we begin dealing with our emotional wounds, we have a chance to leave behind damaging patterns and behaviors.
How To Achieve Emotional Healing
Energy meridian therapies work on the general principle that

I Can Make You Thin!
Paul McKenna has blasted open the door on how dealing with emotional issues can help people lose weight with his new show "I Can Make You Thin!"
He teaches the practice of TFT (Thought Field Therapy), which is essentially the same thing as EFT. Although with TFT, you don't use verbal affirmations while performing the tapping sequence. You simply hold a thought about a specific feeling in your mind while tapping away.
It's my belief that EFT is more effective because of the verbal affirmation element. You can be very creative in your phrasing (there are all sorts of examples within the DVDs and on their forum), getting to the root of an issue and moving past it with great success.
