it seperated :(

well i tried this recipe at home, and it seperated, i mean after i let it cool down in the refigerator, the sugar sank the water was floating on top! it was a huge disapointment. Can someone please help me out, and let me know what i did wrong?

Don't put it in the fridge the ingredients conduct the heat differently causing it to split.

Actually you should store the sugar at room temperature at all times. Putting it in the refridgerator will allow moisture to form on the inside of the container and ruin the sugar making it to runny to use.

U probably should have let it harden in the pot first for like 15 minutes then put it in the airtight container then in the fridge
