Not sticking to hair?

Once cooled to room temperature, my paste does not stick to my hair at all. However, heating it up, even only 15 seconds, makes it too hot to touch. Suggestions?

Oh My! This works great!

Well this is definitley not a lie!! The instructions were perfect, and I love that even the altitude was taken into consideration, perhaps those who are not successful should consider that. I've had this "professionally" done at a spa, and I did it myself after following these instructions, this morning! I am so excited to never have to worry about stubble around my bikini line again! Thank you!

Hot when heated
by: Amanda72

I had the same problem of the wax being too hot to handle.

The problem is when I let it cool down to room temp, it became hard like candy and won't adhere to my skin hair even though I had applied baby powder.

If you asked if I followed the ing. meas. and instructions to the letter, I did.

Any suggestion?

Make sure you use the sugaring paste on clean, dry skin. Try right after bathing (and if you have a body wash that isn't too 'moisturizing' that might help keep you body hair from being too slippery). Definitely don't apply any moisturizers on the skin before sugaring. Although you may want to try applying a thin layer of talcum powder over the area you're sugaring. That will absorb any excess oils on the surface which may help the sugar paste adhere to the hair.

If that doesn't help, maybe try making up another batch. Something may have gone wrong with your ingredients/measuring? You shouldn't need to heat it to use it. Despite the other poster's (rather unfriendly) statement that 'this recipe is a lie,' I have used this recipe myself with great success. And I'm not the only one, if you read through some of the other comments on this page. So give it another try using these suggestions. I hope this helps.

Best,
