too hard

hi, tried recipe, didn heat for long, maybe 10 min on low heat, ended up dark brown and rock hard when cooled:( what did i do wrong? can it be salvaged?

Try adding a little water....

This is what I did to soften my sugaring paste:

From about.com:

Put one tablespoon of water into the mixture and microwave it until it gets hot- which may be a couple of minutes.
Remove from microwave and stir. Let it cool down a bit to use as sugaring gel or completely cool to use as sugaring paste.

lower the heat

try lowering the heat- same thing happened to me the first time. i only end up cooking mine for a few minutes by the time it turns the right color! if you turn down the heat you can monitor the color/temp without it overcooking so fast you can't get it off the heat in time.
